Moodboards

I was trying to figure out what theme I wanted to focus on during my street photography assignment, and I had some ideas that mainly revolved around the monochrome aspect. However, I didn't want to limit myself to black and white and I tried to incorporate some colour images too. Nevertheless, this seemed a bit difficult to express in one mood board, so I made two moodboards to reflect the ideas for both Colour and Black & White.

Moodboard 1: Colour
For colour I decided to go with faded pastel colours that vary from warm to cold. I chose to go for a variety of colours not just primary, but also secondary and tertiary. Some of these colours can be achieved by changing the 'white balance' setting directly in camera. For the colour moodboard I focused more on  the colours themselves than the textures.

Moodboard 2: Monochrome
I also really like monochrome photography, and mostly because the lack of colour can highlight the details and textures of the objects being photographed. Hence why I also included some textures and shapes in the monochrome moodboard. I also think that black & white can give a moodier vibe to the images conveying what I feel is the message that I would like to transmit, i.e. Pensiveness.
